ran over a pot hole on the motorway and the esc light flashed on and off , next time out esc ,hill desent , engine management and gearbox lights came on in yellow within half a mile and it went into limp mode , returned home RAC could not diagnose or relay so was eventully taken to fiat main dealer had it a week and still can not diagnose or can fiat factory only c can bus fault , it only comes up when being driven 2018 180 bhp fiat engine any one else had the same.,

Have they checked the canbus resistors, canbus Earth fault, canbus shorting and hi/low voltage?
All easy tests and should locate issue in wiring loom or module failure.
From your description I would be looking closely at ABS module and connections as the starting point.

I would guess a damaged cable or loose plug

I’ve had a world of pain earlier this year with electrical gremlins on 3.0 Iveco (same engine) with CanBus faults all over the place. With the faults showing in multiple systems, it could be that one sensor is fubar and throwing faults in other electrical systems or, as with mine, the ESC is toasted and needs replacement. My problems also stemmed from pot holed roads.

I had the engine cutout activate after an almighty crunch on a French road. Might that have somehow partially deployed and cut off some circuits?

My last Volvo used to throw a hissy fit every now and then, wipers would start up on their own, "ESC service required" would appear, indicators wouldn't work and various warning lights would be displayed.
The first time it happened, I luckily managed to limp into a garage in Penrith who popped their code reader on it and it came up with a plethora of random faults. They disconnected the battery for ten minutes, reconnected and I was good to go and they only cost was a donation to their coffee fund !
A Google search showed there was a row of relays and big multi pin connectors situated behind the passenger's glove box and I used to drop it down, unplug everything (take a photo first !) Give it all a spray with decent contact cleaner and refit everything and it would be good for months on end.
I think this fault was more common on some Ford Focus (same floor pan as my Volvo) and Mondeo models, but put down to water ingress, but most of the times it would happen out of the blue or after a jolt.
