Got a new van and the stereo is code locked and I honestly can't be arsed dealing with it.

looking for a cheap one that will let me listen to my audio files from either an SD card or USB stick.

I don't listen to the radio, nor do I want to listen to CD's or connect my phone to it.

Just a simple unit...

Any recommendations welcomed.

My current van which I have had for 9 years doesn't have a stereo and I didn't bother getting one because the engine was so loud I wouldn't have been able to hear the music without blowing my eardrums out.

Some time in the future I may look for one with a large LCD screen that has sat nag built in, reversing camera etc etc. But for now, listening to a few tunes occasionally would be nice.

Thanks.

Sometimes the code is written on it when you take it out --otherwise usually costs about a fiver to access code.

No sticker on it. It is a crap one the dealer just shoved in to fill the hole. It is heading to the bin.

Save your money, just ask Jim to leave the kitchen door open.
It's for the van. Not the caravan.

Northernraider can. He swears by a £12 ebay one which seems to good to be true.

Added it to my list. Does it run navigation software?

For 30 quid ?

its supposed to use mirror link to pone but I can't be arsed with that, it does bluetooth to phone and play music from it, very easy to use too, unlike the £300 DAB radio we had in our last van that needed multiple degrees to work out how to use it, so much we got rid after 6 months.

Sorry. I paid £22 for my truck satnav... If it has a microprocessor in it, it can run this software...

I am in tech so perhaps my expectations are a little different :p

I am stunned that the electronics have gotten so cheap... The software, as a programmer I am stunned it remains so expensive for mass market stuff.

7" display, quad core mc, 4gb memory, audio amp and a gps chip. dirt cheap. software... why so expensive when the costs are spread over millions of units with no replication or production costs.

Do appreciate your recommendation though :) Thank you.
