Just started!
In the engine compartment just above the battery are some fuses and relays - I've no idea what they are for! When the van, a 2000 Ducato came back from MOT recently one of the yellow 20amp fuses had been removed, I replaced it today! There's few in the green holder too.

Thanks

I'd guess the relays could be one for the fridge (when the engine's running) and and one split charge for the hab battery - but they could be for switching high power stuff (headlights, heated seats.......etc.).
No idea about the fuses but the tester wouldn't remove or normally fiddle with fuses or anything else for an MOT.
Strange that the blue and two yellow fuses don't look as though they're wired in

Have you got a towbar fitted? The 13pin is now part of MOT the 7pin wiring was and still is not. I have a similar block of addtional fuses next to my battery.

I have some similar relays on my 2001 Fiat Hymer and they control the wipers
If you turn the wipers on you should hear them clicking

My old 1999 Ducato had similar. Along with lots of other wires and relays that make the 12V systems work like fridge for instance.

The Fridge Freezer, an Electrolux AES RM 4505 has only worked on gas thus far - doesn't work on hook-up or 12v with the engine running. A job for another day.

Yes, we do have a tow-hitch fitted but I don't think this is the reason one of the fuses had gone missing. We had some rust issues in the region of the battery tray and a new one had to be fitted! In doing this the fuse holder and relays would have had to be removed and refitted. Neither of the 20amp fuses appear to be connected!

Since the MOT I've also discovered the electric step ceased working too! I can't conclusively 'blame' the MOT as it was a couple of months ago and I've only recently discovered it's not working!

There is a relay near the fridge and I suspect this is the one that routes 12v to it - just a guess.
