Can anyone identify the make of this connector? It is connected to my leisure battery on an Autotrail, there is a spare connector I would like to join to.

Obviously you could fit a new male and female connector if all else fails.

Out of interest what are those cables connecting to? I assume something that only takes a low current.

From Sargent Controller to Leisure Battery, I am assuming this would allow connecting a second battery.

those wires look far to small to connect a second battery too

They only need to carry a maximum of 20 amps, indeed that is the fuse size fitted, and the cables are more than capable of handling that. Charging or discharging a LA leisure battery at more than that doesn't do the battery any good.

I'd be tempted to chop them off and use Waco connectors the ones that can be easily swapped over.
Funnily enough that is exactly what I did this afternoon with the identical wiring harness on my Benivan - chopped the wires a few inches past the plug (on the battery side) and reconnected with Wago connectors. Might as well make sure you get the higher current (32A) versions, even though the fuse by the battery is most likely 20A.

Tomorrow morning I will be switching the wiring over to the new Lithium battery.

We had a plug in the second socket, but no pins in the plug...

cheers,

Robin

Definitely the battery harness - I was disconnecting an identical wiring set up today. The wires are 2.5, maybe 3mm2, fused at 20A. It all works, but you're not going to be running anything heavy duty from it, or charging it rapidly!

cheers,

Robin

That's why I rarely charge from the Sargent charger, and rely on Solar and B2B, with suitably rated cables.
