How old are the kids?

Ive not toured Scotland and have no idea what winter is like, but on my List for a summer tour is of course the Isle of Skye and Galloway Forest Park. :thumb:

Morning, Jock.

It's a bit bleak up in Glen Haggis, but a quick look in the phone book for near you shows abattoirs at Perth, Keith and Brechin.

Hi Jock
Our kids finish on the friday the 18th and are off the mon, tues, weds, we had thought of heading to Arran for a few days but looks like we are going to head for brighouse bay just out side kirkcudbright in dumfries and galloway it has a swimming pool bowling and games room for the kids also loads of walks.

Leanne (lallymac) is heading there on the sat with her hubby paul and 2 boys we will probably head down the friday so if you do decide to go there we might see you at the week end.

Brighouse Bay takes camping cheques out of season.
Kielder Water site has lots to do for kids (and adults).
A really lovely site is Beecraigs country park near Linlithgow. A lovely park with great facilities, brilliant play areas, walks, cycling, fishing loch etc. Really nice restaurant on site. The train from Linlithgow takes 20 minutes into Edinburgh.
We often walk our dogs there and were there this morning. Only two outfits on the site.
