I have a Truma water heater in my 2007 Rapido - I’ve recently replaced pump filter and frost water release valve on the system - after filling up with water I cannot get air out of system - when it is filling the boiler sounds noisier than normal and when I let water out from frost release valve it sounds full of air - can there be a leak inside the boiler that is letting air in that would not be visible from the outside - there are no obvious water leaks anywhere that might let air in- I’ve had the van for 10 years and never encountered this before

Yes thanks but if filter wasn’t sealed properly would it not leak

sounds silly but do you have your hot taps open to fill the boiler and clear the air lock? we have to keep opening and closing the taps to clear the air

Not tried that but will have a go at any suggestions at this stage thanks

When I replaced the pump on our van I noticed it took longer to prime the system after draining down. A forum member suggested checking which way the filter on the pump was fitted.
I found mine was fitted the wrong way up. Turning it round the system primed a lot faster. Sorry this is a bit vague and it was a surprise to me what a difference it made.

Thanks for reply however I have rep pump filter in the same position as old one and didn’t have problem previously - I’m wondering if there is a leak on pipes that is not visible
