Hi, having recently acquired my little Transit conversion I am planning my travels over the summer. Someone said to me that some campsites would turn away this type of camper - is that true?

Would depend on the site in question , what the van looks like etc .

Thanks. So worth checking with every site when I book. It looks like a regular medium roof swb transit with a privacy window in the sliding door.
Just wanted to get a feel as to whether this was a common thing to happen, or not.

If it looks like a Stealth camper, no decals, or awning, then some sites get concerned that you are working out of it and not on holidays. As JoJo12 says it depends on the individual site, many if the independent sites and CL/CS sites will welcome you. Good luck 👍🏻

Thanks, hoping the solar panels and side window make it look less like a builder's van. Guess it will be trial and error.

You need a big compass on the side tbh.
Useful too when you are lost...!

cheers James

My mate had same trouble, except he tows a caravan with a transit.. He put some windows in the side and never had any problem since.
