Still a newbie
Hi all
Family of two adults and two teenagers
We are arriving in santander spain the last week of july and heading home from cherbourg 3 weeks later.
I am hoping to use a combination of aires and campsites.
I was looking to book maybe 2 campsites for maybe 3/4 nights each
But when i am looking to book, 7 nights seems to be the only option and starting fri/sat only
So would you go with no campsites booked.
Need to keep the kids amused as well.
campsite with a pool would do.
Not looking to tie myself down either.

If you avoid the coast then there are plenty of sites and we have never had an issue just turning up.

Aires, make sure you arrive mid afternoon at the latest and have a plan b and c!

New boy
Adults and teenagers will all enjoy the holiday far more if you leave the teenagers at home, preferably that of A.N.Other.

We went down through France in August a couple of years ago, nothing booked, mainly sites, a few Aires. We got in fine everywhere, the only near miss (last space) was on a site in the Pyrenees foothills. As per Clanjones, we avoided the coast altogether.
