Campsite or Freecamp Spot within 2-3 hours of Manchester Please? (1 Viewer)

Morning,

Been on the phone and emailing for two days. It seems Staycations and the 'C' word have been good news for campsites. All fully booked.

We are looking for anything. Preferably with walks or safe cycle routes. Midlands, North West, Shropshire, Yorkshire.

I have searched this and other forums. Been on the sus trans site to find cycle routes. Just no campsites.

Should have taken longer off and hid in Holland,

Moss Croft ,Treales ( Nr Blackpoolish) and Halidays Farm Moss Lane Myerscough. Garstang Area, Lytham St Annes has two dedicated motorhome parking areas and waste disposal point useful for the cycletrack along the promenades to Fleetwood, via Blackpool and Cleveleys and the motorhome parking at Fleetwood near the Marine Hall again dedicated areas for M/homes and you could do the track the *wrong way* or catch the Knott End ferry and a cycletrack all the way off road to Pilling

Maybe a bit far for you, but Forestry and Land Scotland (new name for Forestry Commission) now allow overnight parking at some car parks. Nearest one to the border is at Dalbeattie, at the Seven Stanes car park (cycle trails). No facilities but I think there are toilets.

Pilling It was, but we turned up too late for the Ferry.

Ended up in the Beer Garden of Bourne Arms
