Do you have to book? We've stayed at Campground Bargeweg a few times. It's expensive. But it's reasonably secure and you can walk into the city.

Nope. It's a car park type system. Grab a ticket on entry though the barrier. Pay at the machine when you leave.Do you have to book?
Hell of a long walk to Bruges. There's a nice aire adjacent to a lake at Zillebeke about 1.25 miles south of the Menin Gate. Pleasant walk into the town.
Oops. I was thinking of Ypres. Senior moment.Hell of a long walk to Bruges.
I spent a week there recently. Only two options really as mentioned above.
Camping Memling which is bookable but was full when I was there, and the Aire next to the marina.
Aire is much closer to walk but was very busy, always seemed to be spaces early but full by lunchtime/early afternoon. No toilets but water, black and grey dump and 16 amp electric for each parking space.
Camping Memling quite a long walk but on a bus route. Can't comment on services.
Memling for me also, every time. Fantastic facilities and not much more than the aire/stelplatz. You can book online. If you want a campsite then Memling is very good about 15/20 minutes walk to the centre but there is a bus. The Aire at the marina is closer next to the train station and about 5 minutes walk into town.
Or when people turn up, only larger spaces are left !We stayed in the one near the marina and coach park, a 10-15min walk through the park into the centre.
Bit hit and miss as to space, they have larger spaces signed up for bigger vans but obviously dummies with small vans park in them
They have extended the aire and now have better bigger spaces as Coastal Cruiser says but not sure that you can now use the coach park as overflow, have you been and done this recently?Another vote for the Bargeweg Aire, yes its always very busy but that's because it is such a short walk to the fabulous centre . If you can't get in the Aire itself you can park at the back of the coach park outside.
Several vans at the end of the coach park in September, I overheard that they had to take the ticket to the parking office near the exit to have it changed from a coach to a van ticket. Far more space between the vans in the coach area but the downside was no hookup. They have extended the aire and now have better bigger spaces as Coastal Cruiser says but not sure that you can now use the coach park as overflow, have you been and done this recently?
Thanks for that confirmation, I saw that if you went straight on into coach park you took 50 euro ticket.Several vans at the end of the coach park in September, I overheard that they had to take the ticket to the parking office near the exit to have it changed from a coach to a van ticket. They have an off season price (As does Memling)Oct -March if its still €25 in season it will be €19 now. Watch campsites over xmas they hike the prices up to high season price,I came off camping Zeeburg in Amsterdam one xmas as they wanted double over xmas (said it was busy season)and there was only me and one other van on it.There is the aire by the coach park, very convenient for the town.
I think it was about 25 euro when I was there in 2019
