as above really, on our way back from Croatia now and near Nuremberg for a few days.... want to do a bit of course fishing on a site or aire with a lake for fishing for a week or so, not into big carp more of tench roach and some small carp fishing... a place where you can pitch up beside the lake would be a bonus.... don’t mind either side of our route back but not too much of a diversion...(y)

    Many thanks...:reel:

You do for public waterways and it’s not expensive, but for private waters I don’t think you need a license....

Have you looked at aires on canals etc there must be loads. I switched to fly fishing after a gap of 30 years but not got around to that for a couple of years.

Different to the UK then. I thought you needed a license for even private lakes. Not sure thought, must do a search.

Yes a canal will do, and a river would be better but there’s been a lot of rain around and the rivers are pushing too much for the gear I’ve got with me... plus it’s rare to find somewhere close to the bank for the MH...
