campingcard app (1 Viewer)

Has anyone had any success in using the camping card acsi app? I've downloaded it from the Apple appstore but when I try to log in using my Acsi account details it tells me that I don't have access to the database. I've sent a message to customer services at Acsi bit not had an answer yet.

i considered it then read all the reviews which were not good .. FDull of glitches! so left it.

Have you purchased the access as detailed hear Broken Link Removed

Although you can down load the App it looks like you have to buy the access before it will allow you to download the database.

Your correct Lunarman and thanks for the link. Have paid for access and downloading the campsite details of the countries I need as I write this.

I will have to try that Bill, downloaded the app and paid for it on my android phone and it works quite well although its loads very slowly initially. Busy trying to download the latest software from Apple for my iphone, as usual I have already had three failed attempts :Sad:

Which App have you got? There are 2 ACSI related Apps

1 ACSI Eurocampings which is free but requires internet access and includes all ACSI inspected sites.

2 Camping Card ACSI which requires an access code provided with the ACSI book and a payment to enable you to download the Camping Card sites database to your device. It is essentially the ACSI Camping Card book on your smartphone/tablet I believe.

As John says, with the campingcard ACSI, there was a small leaflet in this years books with a 'persoanal access code'. When you enter it on the campingcard site, it just links to an invoice page for €3.59 (can't remember exact amount), then you can use the app.
Same as the books apparently, but having paid for the books, not tried it.

have downloaded the one with the book (camping card). It is very good, with the advantage (if you have phone capacity space) that you can download the countries you are interested in to then access off line without internet or wifi including maps. I find it easier than the books which has everything by code, where as the camping card app is more like the new beta website !

Downloaded the camping card app on my iphone, logged in and downloaded UK maps and it seems to be working online and offline without asking for payment. Result....

Ah, just checking my android phone at the same time, UK maps have disappeared off this phone. Thought it was too good to be true..oh:

I take that back, it seems to be working on both apps at the same time, maybe you have to just pay for one app and you can then use it on another platform

I've also got this App on my iPhone and only use it as an aid to the ACSI books. Works well. :thumb:

I downloaded the free app on I pad and it works fine without reference to my purchase of ACSI card.
