Can anyone who's been to Camping Villasol/ Benidorm help please?
How many MH service points are there on Camping Villasol please? Will we need to walk far to get fresh water & empty black & grey waste once pitched up? Are there any fresh water taps near the pitches?
Many thanks.

There are several toilet block areas with toilet and grey waste empty points and quite a few fresh water taps.
As to how far really all depends on where you end up on the site..
Never seen anyone struggle with it really, get a small trolley as that could always be useful :xThumb:
There are no "service points" as in somewhere to drive over and drain your grey that usually goes down the same hole as the toilet dump.. Join the Benidorm snowbirds group as several Funsters are already on site down there...

There is one service point up near the 600s.
There is a drain to lift for grey water and a fresh drinking water tap with a hose. You will need to get the key for the water tap from reception with a €10 deposit. It used to be unlocked but some our European Friend's were using it to wash ground sheets, awnings etc.
We normally fill with water on arrival, then top up with a watering can when needed.
As Steve says the grey water goes in the elsan points of which there are 2 on each toilet block.
Cheers
Ed

The facilities at Villasol are exactly as Tonka has posted.
You could find a pitch as near as 10 yards away from the facilities or as far away from them as 100 yards.

Thanks Tonka. We have a waste master for helping to empty grey waste & Thetford cassette is on wheels, although hubby usually just carries it. I would need to use wheels but haven't had the pleasure of doing it yet. LOL.
We've got a 100ft expanding hose & watering can but could perhaps get another hose to join to it. We aren't going until Dec next year but will join the Snowbirds group.

The taps on the fresh water supply are the " push and hold " type, it is not possible to connect a hose pipe to them. You will need to use a watering can or a similar container.

Thanks Brisey. Looks like hubby will be doing a daily top up with watering can.

Another question please. Do you just need normal coaxial cable for TV connection? We've got an Avtex TV

We are also on Villasol and to be honest we use the site showers and also use the washing up areas so we don't use much water.

I've seen Spanish using cable ties to keep the tap depressed while getting free water, with a hosepipe filling up containers in the boot of their cars. that was in Mijas.

One of those straps you use around the wheels on a bike rack.. Also great for in the shower as well..

As @Sheddy says you need to be able to tune your TV to analog. Ours is an Avtex fitted from new so 2 years old and despite Nick fiddling with it for many hours whilst at Villasol we could not connect to anything other than Spanish Tv. Some Avtex TVs have an analog switch or an analog option on screen but not ours. It was quite amusing watching John Wayne speaking in Spanish as the dubbing actor had a high pitched voice but the novelty soon wore off!

NOTE.... With digital TV they often transmit the original soundtrack if the program / film was made in English.
So go into your audio options and select English, Especially on American TV programs.
You may find that it's there and once selected and stored and other programs will give you English when available. :xThumb:

Thanks Steve, Nick was quite happy doing that it was more the nuisance of not having the analog option! Fortunately he had downloaded lots of films and series into an external hard drive for the wet days.

Ours is only 6 months old so probably doesn't have analogue but will investigate. Thanks.
