Stayed at this municipal site in April. http://www.portugalvia.com/en/tomar-municipal-camping-park/ . Can highly recommend it. On the face of things, it looks a bit run down, but actually it isn't. It' just not manicured.
The pitches are generous, and not regimented, the shower blocks and toilets are surprisingly modern, and the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. It's also very cheap. We'd definitely stay there again.

Sorry no photos, but it is very shaded, and as bellabee said good clean loos and showers. I have stayed there many times. In the centre of town too. Just thought as I had joined here today then coincidentally got the new prices through I would share :)

Excellent site. Adjacent to nice park. Interesting town and very interesting Templar castle/ convent.
