Except for Bank Holidays, I've never been charged this, is it widespread? Or, is it because most of my camping's not in prime time?C&CC have a 2-night minimum stay at weekends and bank holidays at many sites.
It’s been discussed on the C&CC Facebook page recently and seems to be becoming more common.Except for Bank Holidays, I've never been charged this, is it widespread? Or, is it because most of my camping's not in prime time?
Not many of those around and mostly on grass pitches... if you want hard standing then I don't think many around that does not have leccy.... and we all know both clubs charge for leccy even if you don't use it.plus you can choose to have non-electric pitches
Age concession rates are now for over 60s.. been like that for nearly 8yrs.the Camping & Caravan Club as you can get a 25% discount off season (over 55yrs?)
If you are a singleton, you get 30% off on CITF sites, which beats the above discount. Any C&CC member avoid any charges for amendments on bookings made 3 days or more before arrival. But then as a single I think you get the 30% discount on the C&CC sites too. For me that often makes C&CC sites attractively priced and can be better value than most CS. By contrast I cannot fathom how to price the CMC sites. I have the perception CMC is a little more upmarket in their amenities, and they are more focused in their sites generally avoiding tent users. Some comment that C&CC can be dated, yet I've always found them functional and clean (far more so than CITF sites whose facilities are overused and abused hence I now use their basic sites and rely on the van's stuff). CMC has better coverage on CL type sites up in Scotland where C&CC seems to have negligible coverage much further than Inverness.CCC membership also attracts a 15% discount and "age concession" when using "Camping in the Forest" sites (CITF). There are 6 sites in the New Forest and another 10 dotted around England/Scotland.

Last time I had EHU was a cardiogramI agree! For me, the club sites are often much cheaper than a cl.
I paid just £5.21 per night at a C&CC site last year. (Midweek in July, old codger discount, no electric)
We are the same…most expensive crossword puzzle every month. We have been in the C&CC for years. I don't know why though. We never ever use their sites.
I think we joined because our insurance gave us a discount.
It one of those annoying direct debits that you mean to cancel but never get round to.
I suppose it depends what you like really.
Maybe it's perception but there seems to be more C&MC sites on search for sites.
