Stayed at Mont St Michel last night and again tonight.
Site is easy to find, swipe card access, pitches are ok size, all have hook up.
Its almost full, think 170 out of 180 last night, but is quiet.
17€ inc hook up and water facilities.
Hard not to like tbh.
Cycle track to MSM has gate from site.
We did the same in August. Very busy site so I did prebook it. Loved having the water very close by too. Not many Uk vans around tho weirdly.

You just need to read the reviews, Lenny :giggle::giggle:.

We looked at la Voulte sur Rhône, just down the river from where we are now, but a lot of the reviews mention it being next to a busy road with traffic noise, so we've avoided it.

We're hoping to head for Provence but don't fancy getting caught in the Mistral, so we're taking it easy at the moment.

Finding decent weather in France this year is a bit of an art. 🌦🌩
.

It sure is. It's been pants where we live!! ☔⛈️🌧️

Interesting this one. If you mean you empty and fill without paying( which many French and Dutch do) then, to quote CCP : We try to make our service areas, card dependent, but where we cannot do that, we try to prosecute for theft and fraud.
I guess they do have cameras on most areas. I was surprised to be told this by one of there “ambassadors “ but I guess in fairness it is theft.
Get my tin hat now!
Cheers

Sorry, should have made it clear. It was card dependent, we have a card, it didn't charge us anything out of our account.

It won’t charge you because you didn’t enter through the barrier. That was my point. CCP view you as using the facilities without paying. If you want to empty you pay by entering.

Well we have used CCPs for a few years now, it today was the first time we have left as we didn’t like it.
We arrived at Felleries, a Mon village site, tired looking with several abandoned looking caravans, little in the way of hard standing, and two twin axle caravans towed by vans, with big dogs and children’s toys littered about. We went for a walk into the town, which was equally uninspiring.
We moved on after consideration.

Since 2020 - caravanned for 30 years before that
We generally stay a few times on a CCP each trip, depends on where we're going and what is available. As someone said, it is useful to be able to see in advance if there are any spaces. I think there has only been two where we arrived and decided not to stay, one looked very rundown and the other had a huge group of travellers parked across the road from it.

In general they have been (in our experience) a pretty good standard at a reasonable price.

We were there on the 19th so didn't miss you by much, always seems to be pretty full and, as you say, hard to not like.

We stayed there for three nights in May. Decent enough aire. Good (dog) walks along the river, even to the Mont itself. Dogs not allowed on the shuttle buses. Was €17 a night and well worth it.

It was about half full when we were there and a good number of UK vans but mostly German and Dutch.
