Question for snowbirds...
Has anybody stayed at Camp Amalfra over the winter period? If so any issues to be aware of?
Thinking of going on the CandCC 'rally' there in Jan to April time. On the surface it looks a great site, clean etc and has a great gym and seems to be fairly close to the railway.

Campsite OK, good bus service outside to Benidorm, Albir, Altea. Walk up the road to Alfaz for market and supermarket. Catch the train just below the campsite to Denia or Alicante. I think you have to book your ferry with the C&CC in order to book these rallies. If you have not been to Spain before they are a good way to start but 3 months may be a bit too long if you find that it is not for you. You could also try the Benidorm campsites where the Motorhome Fun members stay.

We were there last year and the year before but not with the rally. This year we are going with the rally for 6 weeks starting October 15th. As Quickweh says, good bus service to Albir Altea and Benidorm. Train outside the gates to Alicante. Don't think you can get to Denia on the train at the moment as there is work on the line. If this has changed I would be pleased to hear .

Hi,

We stayed there one year, I think we were the youngest, still in our 40's.

Had a great time with the rest of the Rally Members (we booked on rally but did not join in). Just went to a Birthday party with the rally group.

Downside as with many sites, no hedging around plots. Some trees get in the way as do the summer shade frames.

We cycled and walked into Albir, Benindorm (Lourdes on Sea in Winter).

Campsite manager was a real nice man
