Does anyone have advice on best covers to protect from weather, waterproof vs breathable/water resistant, tailored or off the peg, please? I am struggling a bit as have ordered two so far which don't seem to be right, measurements & specs don't tally so some help from personal experience would help save me time frustration and money!

Protec - not the cheapest however.

But the best according to my tugger friend. It was a Dragons Den investment too which says a lot for it I think.

Why do you need a cover? Do you cover your car up? We've been motor homing and caravanning for the best part of 40 years and never covered any of them up.

Thanks for posts, well our van top window leaked after all the heavy downpours so after we've repaired it we want to make sure (in unreliable weather & winter ahead) that it stays dry. I know covers are breathable and not fully waterproof but it's about doing the best we can. We have had vans before & never covered them, it's true - but had a caravan and appreciated the difference a cover made, including keeping it clean..
If I had a van like the one above I'd probably insure the artwork - it looks like well-loved old patched denims!!

No more black streaks, put it away clean and it stays that way. Only on January after New year meet, then put it on to April ! sorted

You will get lots of different opinions on here, but for us we will not use a cover again on a motorhome that's parked outside, the reason why, well we used a cover over winter to keep the muck and grot off and although the cover was tight on the motorhome the wind moved the cover about and rubbed through areas of paint to the aluminium on the corners of the motorhome. The cover was not a cheap one, it was a Royal breathable with a soft flock type lining.

Three years and counting, 30 years a tent tower.
Vote for a Protec cover here, didnt have a pattern for RH but two nice guys measured it up and its a perfect fit. Keeps tree sap, bird droppings, leaves etc etc and RH comes out from under after winter in perfect condition. Make sure your moho is clean before you put it on though!

I have Specialised fitted covers on my MH and my 'Sunday' car. Very pleased with them and never had a problem with rubbing. My brother-in-law, however, insists on buying cheap ones and has had problems every winter
