Camper contact problem (1 Viewer)

I have been using the app for years, this morning it will not let me see the map for motor home parking, when I press to see it, it returns to my iPad apps page, is anyone else having problems, all the other parts work, I have updated and I have paid for this year. Puzzled ?

Working for me on Android. If the usual trick of turning things on and off doesn't work then uninstalling and reinstalling should sort it. The downside is you need to be on WiFi and it takes some time to download all the images.
I've found over time the app uses more and more memory. I think this is because of the way it updates itself in a not very clever way. Reinstalling sets everything back to normal.

Try re booting the iPad

If that doesn't work un install and re install the app

Ours always plays silly beggars when there isn't enough strength in the wifi signal - anything below 3 bars and it won't load.

Happened to me now bought update showing up to date and doing the same as above,tried deleting and reinstalling but still not working

Mine is playing up too and I also updated my subs in the last few days. It kept crashing when I selected motorhome parkings and now it's telling me I don't have the offline maps installed. Grrrr.

Try going to 'settings' and play around with them - I did and it started working again.

Click on info - bottom right of home page to find settings

Good advice JJ we have found it often plays up on a crapPad.

Ours is working perfectly on the Samsung but can still only use on the Ipad without updates. Really annoying me now.

I think the Android version looks far better on the screen and the Ipad looks a bit childish. Think I'll be sticking to the Samsung.

Gave up trying to use it on the boss's crapPad, downloaded it to my Andriod phone for this year. On the crapPad you download the off line maps works once next time you go to use it off line maps have dissapeared and it wants you to download them again, crapple don't appear to understand the concept of off line.

Thanks for that. I had a fiddle, turned off location services and downloaded a map but it's still crashing. I can access service areas, and campsites but as soon as I try to access parkings or all sites it crashes. I'm guessing there's just too much data for it to handle.

Just when I hit the road too.... :/

Ah well. It will come back I'm sure once someone techie finds out it's not working. Yes. That's how much faith in humanity I have.

If anyone uses both just check in the frequently asked questions on the app it's just a poorly designed app for the iPad

Thanks Keith. I went to settings and selected 'set reminder' ..'yes' pressed 'update the data now' and it is now working. Cheers, Mike

On my iPad it only gives turn location on or off and wifi or cellular

I put in a query at the weekend to Camper Contact and have had a reply this morning:

Thank you for your message.
Last weekend there was a error in the database. Our app developer has gone straight to work to resolve this issue. When you update the database ('Update Database' button on the home screen), the app will work properly again. If you still encounter problems, please let us know.
