Camp Site - La Rochelle or nearby (1 Viewer)

Travelling in Mid June to La Rochelle area. Does anyone have recommendations for any Sites for Motorhome, ideally close (walking distance to beach). Would like to be able to walk or get bus into La Rochelle for the evenings etc - but if we have to go further afield for a Beach Side side we would.

Any ideas would be welcome - even if not directly in La Rochelle.

You could stay at the Municipal site, by the rugby field. Quite inexpensive, and free ladies rugby on Sundays. La Rochelle were last years All France champions.
Facilities are a bit tired at the site though and a longish walk into town.:thumb:

If you have the ACSI book you could visit Chatelaillon-Plage (page 1121). We stayed there a couple of years ago and it was excellent.
