Cambrils: La Llosa or Joan. Any opinions on either please? (1 Viewer)

The top line says it all really.
We have thoughts about going to Cambrils. Dont know what its like but willing to give it a try if the comments are favourable.
Any comments good or not so good would be apprecited.

We stayed there for a week on our way home from La Manga last April and enjoyed it. We stayed at Cambrills Playa or something like that which was very good but we moved there after staying one night at La Llosa which was a dump and one to avoid.

We really liked Joan. Long way from the main town but cycle track and promenade all the way there. If you have a dog it is a real treat...They are allowed on the beach opposite the site! No road between the beach and the site either. Facilities were fine, a shop on site, cafe just outside. A good experience. Janie

I stayed at La Llosa a couple of years ago so no recent experience but it was a dump!!
The main door to the shower block had a broken window so of course it was freezing in there in January.
The only good memory of Cambrils was a great Roman bath site nearby and a fabulous meal in a fish restaurant opposite the harbour.

camping joan is a nice campsite but it has got loads of gnarly low trees to catch your van on if your not careful.
no problem in a smallish van though. easy walk into cambrils along the seafront too.
