I'm a newbie
I am in the process of changing to french gas bottles in my autotrail. Has anyone bought and used "calypso gas"? The regulator, which comes free with the first bottle is 28 mb. My current UK bottle is 37mb. Will this cause any detrimental performance?
Thanks for any help.

looks like its butane and you have been using propane .
give it a go . unless you go to cold places you might never know the difference.
seems in france and spain butane is the common gas most use.
you could try and see if propane is available . but it wouldnt worry me too much.

I've got a Calypso bottle that I'll be taking to France (to return it) in a couple of weeks. I assume it's the red and green lightweight bottle that looks a little in shape like a BP
Yes it is Butaane.
Did the Reg. that you were given have a 'spigot' fitting to fit the rubber tube on or was it a threaded job.
If it's the threaded job it's the same thread that fits onto the Reg of a Bulkhead fitment, ie W20.
I'm getting rid of ours because the sneaky french don't make it easy to ahm, fill it, and we're 12mths a year folk now we've got a 'van.
We're getting an Intermarche 10Kgs bottle when we get there.
