Maybe this explains why the "lites" have been in short supply recently? I wonder if Calor have been quietly collecting them up over the summer :)

Thanks for the heads up!
We're in France right now, the one we use for the Cadac is 2010, can't yet rotate the fixed one enough to check.
Looks like we can put off the Gaslow changeover for another year!

Upon return, the customer will be issued with a free of charge replacement 6kg CalorLite® cylinder.
Please note that our network are currently being briefed and should be in a position to start handling returns from Wednesday 24th September

Before you all go rushing down today, the above is on the Calor details for the exchange

Maybe no point trying before next Wednesday

Given how hard these can be to find I predict total chaos with this, good luck (y)

Just check ours and both are 2008! One is half full and the other is empty. So looks like it will work in my favour :)

Check this as well,

Please carefully examine the cylinder tare disc. Any 6kg CalorLite® cylinder which has already been recalled, tested, and confirmed as safe for use will have a small hole (5.5mm diameter) punched into the tare disc.

These cylinders are safe to use.

They do not need to be returned to Calor, even if the date is 2008, 2009, 2010, or 2011.

Sounds like Calor have been 'aware' of this problem for some time then, better hope it is not too serious
