I see a few comments about the availability of Calor Gas. Well, there's a problem around here in South Lakeland, Cumbria. I have a two cylinder gas system in the motorhome - a refillable GasIt bottle and a replaceable 6KG Calor Gas cylinder which is empty and has been for a while. The local Calor Gas depot is shut as it has been for the last six months and it looks as though supplies to local retailers are very limited. I've tried five local Calor Gas retailers and none had any stock of 6KG Calor Gas cylinders. Online enquiries result in an 'out of stock' message. I would have thought that by now, a large company such as Calor Gas should have its distribution back to normal. Well, it's not the end ot the world - the 6KG Calor Gas cylinder is a reserve and the gas for the refillable bottle is a fraction of the price of Calor Gas. Think of the folk who rely on Calor Gas for heating, cooking etc at home!

A lot of Morisons have Calor on their Forecourts?. I have a full one in my garage at home, waiting tp be put on when the Argas one empties. When we are just doing a few days I use Argas as it at least 6 or 7 quid cheaper.

CALOR DISTRIBUTION PETERBOROUGH STILL CLOSED and so no calor round here. Switch to Flogas as they are enjoying the new custom and were cheaper for me too. Even loaned me a larger empty bottle to see if it will fit my locker with no charge....

Could this possibly... JUST MAYBE.. be good for those of us that use autogas or similar after all the negativity of suppliers removing pumps.
I filled up in near Fort William yesterday and had to get in a queue of 5 other mohos

Have you tried the camping and motorhome stores in your area.
A few round here aren’t listed as calor gas distributors on calors site but do have stocks of all the bottles available up to 13kg both propane and butane.
Might be worth contacting a few.

I’m glad I’ve got gaslow. Filled up at Morrison’s Doncaster yesterday, 15litre @ 55p litre 👍

Plenty down South. I ordered a 6Kg propane online from Hattons in Portsmouth - delivered to the house next day with free delivery

No 6kg propane in Go Outdoors in Poole but our local Calor shop is open for order and collect. My nearest campsite is pretty good too. Camping and caravan sites get priority over Go Outdoors apparently which explains the shortage.

The site we're on near Morcombe doesn't seem to have a problem getting the light or the normal 6kg bottle from calor.
We get our 13kg and pay around £32, around £13 cheaper than we paid for the same in Kent.

Not sure if the site would sell to Passing trade or just its own customers.

Shawn.

Not sure where in South Lakeland you are Dagraton but have you tried the calor centre between Lancaster and Morecambe - that’s where I get my exchange calor bottles from.

Gas cages full at BP, Holyhead Road Telford, 1 mile off the M54.
Propane and Butane in all sizes up to 13KG

Been all over this morning looking for 3.9kg propane none available!

We get ours from HSS Hire Shop, although our local shop is closed to customers at the moment, we can still order and pay by phone from there and collect from Trafford Park.
