Got a letter from Calor giving an update on prices. From a picture of the letter below, it’ll give you a price on what they are charging per cylinder. Anything over and above is obviously what other outlets add on.

Thought it might be helpful.

Notice they still quote 6kg lite.
I was under impression they had been withdrawn?

Not the best at maths, but I’m sure someone will correct me with the exact costings.
So to exchange your 13 kg cylinder = approximately 25 litre’s, propane, you are paying Approximately £1.70 per litre.
And to fill a refillable cylinder at Morrisons you are paying today’s price off £0.78 pence per litre.
This is a good reason to purchase either refillable cylinder’s or get a tank fitted.
I’ve had two 13 kg refillable cylinders for a few years now.
The more of us that go down this route the more garages will stalk it. Happy day’s 😂😂

Ever since lighting was by Calor gas.
A month ago I queried that with the local Calor agent who gave me a Lite in exchange for my my standard 6kg propane. He said that due to the shortage of cylinders the policy of withdrawing the Lite ones had been suspended.

Look about the same prices as Flogas. Although Flogas now also add a cylinder surcharge on top of their cost prices. They have also gone up recently.
Don't see Calor charging a cylinder surcharge on top of the cylinder prices.

Just before we left France a week ago, I refilled my Alugas 11kg cylinders. It cost 0.63 € per ltr. £20 for both.
A clear case for refillable cylinders. 25% of the price of filled propane cylinders.
Profiteering gone mad.

Just paid £95 for a Propane 47kg. Last time I exchanged it was £64.

Mmmmm. I may just get it refilled, when empty, at a friendly local LPG station. Before you ask, yes they do refill empty bottles.

As long as you / they stick to the 80% fill level you’ll be fine.

Just paid £28 for a 6kg propane. I don’t begrudge my supplier making less than £2. Can’t remember what I paid 18 months ago as I have diesel heating and compressor fridge running on lithium and solar. Refillable would be a waste of money for me.

already gone up, according to their web site propane 6kg £28 13Kg 52.5 (11.76, 25.5 l)
equivalent to £2.38 and £2.06 per litre. aNd i thought my local garage was expensive @ £1.25.
I'm now running a 13kg calor (used to be a 6 in reserve only) and 11kg gaslow, my local garage has just restocked after 18 months.
Continuity of supply has become more important than price.
