I dont see how a 13kg cylinder can vary 9.2 kg empty.

Varies , the weight of each one is stamped on them.
Must be some sort of code then, because neither the 13kg or the 6kg bottle I have in the shed appear to have weights on that plate - not anywhere else.

Ah - now that might be the code. :ROFLMAO: I was looking for a weight in kgs. Not going out for another look now.

My empty FloGas 11kg bottle is stamped with a tare weight of 13.5kg. So I would expect a 13kg Calor bottle to be around 16kg. Come to think of it, there was a 33 on the plate - possibly with another number beside it. That would put it somewhere just above 15kg.
