Hello everyone,
Been contemplating changing my Calor bottles to refillable and have narrowed it down to 1 x GasIt which I'll fit myself.
However, can anybody give me a reason why I cannot use a "UK Bayonet LPG Filling Point to Calor Gas sourced from a reputable dealer, a dealer whose probably sourced equipment for yourselves.
I believe I'm aware me as my safety issues but my thoughts keep telling me Calor just want to keep me their commercial edge. Would still want a remote fill point on the side but .....£££

I don’t believe Calor bottles have the safety stuff on them to avoid over-filling like proper refillable do.

The experts are lining up to inform you better…….

Click on the search facility, and type in, "Self filling Calor cylinders", and up comes a whole host of information as to why you shouldn't/wouldn’t.

Happy reading. ;)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

I've a largest that would fit in the compartment refillable, and carry a reserve Calor just in case, used it once and remains almost full after 2 years.

I have 2 x Gasit refillable bottles on the van and a Safefill bottle in the garage for BBQs. Never had an issue refilling at home or away.

I know a garage that will refill empty Calor gas bottles but they are in the know and they will only refill from empty. It is really frowned upon in the trade for obvious reasons.
