I have a Calor patio gas bottle which holds 5kg propane. It is green with two large red handles.

Can I swap this for a Calor 3.9 kg propane bottle?

Quite possibly if you go to a garden centre which sells patio gas. Unlikely on a camp site I would have thought as they probably wont stock the patio type. Plus you might get a jobsworth - then you've no chance Best bet would be a local calor centre http://www.calor.co.uk/ . Phone ahead first to confirm :thumb:

I was able to swap it at the Hire or Buy centre, Little Paxton, very close to where I live.

Several suppliers would not swap it as they did not handle the Calor Patio Gas bottles.
