Well, obviously still as rare as rocking horse poo. Go outdoors in Poole are showing virtually no gas in stock of any sort. My (very local) Calor premises are not even open despite the website stating otherwise. How can a a gas supply shop not be open ??? But for anyone local to a Poole, TPS on the Chalwyn Industrial estate have stock.
Just don’t rush up before I pick mine up this afternoon

A friend of ours went to Calor Southampton last week, got a refill £30 , and a new bottle that cost £40 deposit and gas £30, so £100 for the lot.

Our local garden centre is offering £7 for unwanted empties. I would go LPG but there is no where even remotely close to where I live in S London that does it anymore. Going to get difficult for the V10 Petrol RV guys staying in the UK.

Get a Flogas bottle from marketplace or fleabay. Exchange for full one as Flogas remained operational whilst Calor closed several main depots (e.g. in Peterborough).
Flogas centre full and have all bottles available.
Calor - closed.
p.s. Flogas bottles are the same fitting as Calor, but you cant usually exchange branded bottles at the wrong site etc...

Makes you feel smug with refillables.

Never had a problem, BP garages around here have put in new pumps.
Sounds like it's a lot harder to get exchange bottles at the moment
Seriously we have no problem with Flogas as there is a big depot nearby. Calor disappeared ages ago, as did two LPG stations and the other two are considering removing their tanks. If they go the nearest will be about 20 miles. I've been trying to persuade the Flogas depot to install a tank but they are not interested :(.

We always try to fill up in the UK then we know we have 100% propane.
I always imagined Autogas was a mix....here in Spain it is.....in the UK it's 100% Propane...is that so, I've learnt something new today..🤔🇪🇦

Yer 100% in the UK other countries the mix varies due to time of year I think Spain is between 35 to 65% butane. I think Portugal is 95 or 100% propane.
You often see reports of Truma Combi's not working in Marocco where they have filled up in Spain and get cold nights in the desert.

I now have 2 full14kg Alugas bottles, I am not expecting to be looking for another fill up anytime soon. If I have to go a little out of my way to fill them in a few months time it will be no great hardship.

Well that's going to be very useful indeed...living near the Med but visiting high places could in future determine where I fill up....I have frequently used mixed gas cylinders in the Alps and other locations, sometimes sleeping with them in my sac...could be difficult with a Gaslow...

I’ve just sold 4 empties on eBay. One guy travelled 50 miles and paid me an extra £5
how much did you sell them for? I have three in my shed to get rid off. I see calor are offering £7.50 for them, but the depots are shut.
