Calais to Reims (1 Viewer)

We're travelling from Calais to Riems in the morning and can't decide on tolls or not.
Can anyone tell me the best route non tolls and is it worth the hassle ?

Not mate It's called the the ho- ce- Ming trail not much in it time wise. We use to use it wen I was trucking over there the le- rouitiers restaurants are pretty good on route

Using the non toll road takes 1h15 longer and is a bit of a difficult one if you go through Lille. But the toll road is very boring!
Check Google maps. One route even goes into Belgium and their roads are awful!!

Thanks for your replies.
Kept off the tolls today and followed sat nav. After A25 mainly good d roads but it seemed to take forever.
Think I'll stick to the toll roads in future.

I'll see you in Auxerre next Saturday matey. We're gonna take it on the chin and bash down the toll roads. Looks like the weather is set fair for you once again. Looking forward to getting my feet up with a couple of cans of John Smiths before we get down to the serious business of sampling the local brews.
