We have a Cadac safari chef 2 used fine for a couple of years.
When we got our MH it had an external BBQ point from our LPG underslung tank, but it takes forever to cook anything so we attached it back to the camping gas bottle again.
Still doesn’t get hot enough.

We have it on full blast!

Anyone know of any solutions or should we give up on it?

Sounds like the gas jet needs a clean. Sometimes you can get an oily deposit out of the gas tank which will block up the jet, gum up the pipes and/or the regulator. Try replacing various bits and soaking the jet in petrol/poking it through with the finest of wires.

Thank you.
Sorry to sound dim, but which bit is the jet?
D’you mean take the burner apart and clean that?

Not at all.
The jet is the tiny brass/metal part with what looks like a pin hole in the middle for the gas, and is normally located at the entry point to the burner, so yes, removing the burner should facilitate access. (y)

Cheers,

Jock. :)
