Your cable will not go through as it stands.

They are hard plastic and the brown ones are a stupid price for small quantities on eBay, but I have about 100 of the brown if you do want to go that way.

I have used PaulandChrissy to knock up a few one off 3D printed bits for me, so rather than trying to make do, why not get Paul to make exactly what you want.
I can send him one as a sample and he can then alter to suit your needs.

I could custom make a pair to your design for £10.00 don’t hold back on the shape. Draw it exactly how you would like it and I will make it. We could put +- symbols on it as well.

Send me a picture of where they are going and all the dimensions if you are interested.

I should think you need something like this, with a split down the middle for the cables to get through. Just slide the two halves together. Job done. It may not be the correct dimensions for your situation, but you can see it’s all doable. 😊

Now a little one
Have a look for 'snub bushing' different sizes are available. Plastic and rubber are available and the rubber ones can be stretched over fixed cable end terminals.

Link below to one supplier.

hi Paul

so this is what i'm after or something very similar, it has the outer round ring with 2 screws holes in it then inside is a rubbery insert which is flexible so it will stretch to fit any size cable

any ideas or can you make these?

Al n Val. Could you make a hole the size you need on one of these cable entry membrane glands, (of varying sizes from Screwfix), and fit behind the plastic collar?

A different job I know, but I popped one of these on to a shower hose as a collar seal, to prevent water from the shower hose entering into a bulkhead, when I couldn't source the correct part from Reich or Hymer. It worked very well. (y)

Membrane Cable Entry.

Cheers,

Jock. :)

I can make the hard rings, but the rubber bit is not something that’s printable. does it need to be rubber. If I know all the cable sizes I can print the holes as required.

and there lies the problem, the crimp is 20mm across and the cables are 16x8mm so if you made the hole 20mm for the crimp it would be too large :crying1:

bloody hell this is proving to be a nightmare lol

if anyone wants any of these btw i've now got 8 left, they look really creamy colour in the photo but actually in real life are a lot paler, not quite white. A pound apiece will buy them as thats what they cost me.

they can be used for cables or pipes (gas or water) going through floors, walls, you name it, it just makes for a neater finish.
