If I am opening up an old topic forgive me, I am new around here. I am trying to source side cab steps for a 2015 Autotrail on a Ducato chassis. Don't mind whether it's supply or supply and fit. Any suggestions will be very gratefully received, thank you.

If you put 'cab steps' in the search box you'll probably find the answer (y)

Spent ages looking for search box without spotting it, got it now, thank you. Now where did I put my glasses.

I must need glasses too. I could only find replies for carpets, not steps. My good lady finds the jump down a bit high and I was interested in whether there was an attachable or fold down step? I've seen the handles you can loop onto the lock, but I'm pretty sure that that would end in oops/forgot/door slam tears ;)

I really thought this would be an easy one but no. I know that Essanjay in Poole do/did sell a really good looking solid step but their supplier has a machine problem and nobody seems to know if this will be resolved.

Just a heads up as I just had a set of cab steps fitted to my 2017 Fiat Ducato chassis based motorhome at PWS Engineering in Poole . Fitted in 2 hours and £210 supplied or £245 fitted . For £35 I let them fit them .

Aluminium design and very sturdy .

This is the email i got from essanjay for a 2017 Fiat Ducato

The price for our stainless steel cab steps (pair) are £369.00 supplied, fitting is FOC.

I will endeavour to send a photograph of them via mobile. Our new website is still a work in progress and all the pictures are being put on as we speak, but obviously could take a further couple of weeks before they go ‘live’ online.

We’re having sets made which should be ready very soon.

If you wish to discuss this further, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Just tell her to use the Hab door. The wife has the same problem with our 2015 Tracker but now uses the Hab door most times.
Cliff

I have the same problem but I also need a step to get up to the hab door so, if I'm travelling solo, there's no-one to put the step in. Only solution to that is to put a motor on the step.

So many little tweeks - I'm already having the passenger seat lowered so I can reach the floor!
