Just a general enquiry, if I leave radio playing on auxillary ignition position, can this flatten main battery.
Any way we can connect to leisure batteries.
Thanks
Jim

Really the only sensible way would be to wire and run a new 12v leisure feed behind your dashboard and wire into the head unit direct with a switch inline.. you may be lucky and find a permanent 12v leisure feed behind your dashboard with your probe but I very much unfortunately doubt it.

And yes it will very much flatten your engine battery (all this depending on how much you listen to the radio of course!)

I've rewired my radio and the two dashboard sockets to the leisure battery. On this van there is a box channel running back from the cab battery area to the mid point where the 12v Electroblock resides, so it was relatively straightforward. Dropping a cable down from the back of the radio area to the floor below is quite easy.

I've put in a separate switch to switch on the radio to take the place of the ignition switch. Be careful to keep a continuous supply as well as a switched supply so you keep the memory and settings.
