We have a 2018 C tourer with a Pioneer multimedia system.
After a maximum 2 days without hook up the cab battery will run down. It is a new battery and I can only think it is the multimedia system that is draining it as no other electrics are used apart from the phone on USB. Could this be a fault in the wiring or are other owners finding getting this problem. The single leisure battery is ok after 2 days, although with a lot of heating on it may struggle. I have a solar panel and the solar control unit is charging an equal amount to both batteries !

There's a similar thread started yesterday by another Funster that may be worth a read and give you some pointers.

Once you've had a read ask away on your thread here with any questions. The gang will help you out.(y)

Hi Andy

Think cab battery is running off the music symbol on control panel, this needs to be switched off when not using ICE..

The Pioneer unit Carthago fit draws high current in standby, often flatenes the starter battery in one night.
You need to turn it off with the media switch on the control panel.

Hi Lenny,
Yes I agree with you but then we cannot watch TV as this is operated from the control panel !!

Could you fit a power on/off switch on the dash alongside the unit and kill it from there?

Our Hymer has one fitted for the Kenwood player with three modes: always on; always off; on only when ignition is on

Hi Chazzer,
That sounds like a good idea, if it will do when the ignition is on only !

We tend to listen to the multimedia radio a lot, maybe we should use the TV radio !

You just need to remember to turn of the media switch when you have finished watching tv.

In my case it is the reversing camera monitor that drains the vehicle battery even when allegedly turned off. A switch deals with that.
