Hi all, I have a problem with my cab air con on a 2005 Fiat 2.8jtd. The switch light will only illuminate occasionally and only for about 20 seconds. The unit is all re-gassed and fine, presumably an electrical fault but not really sure where to start. Any one had similar problems?
Really hot here in Provence and would be good to get it working but not the end of the world.
Many thanks, Mike.

Not familiar with the Ducato, but I would check for a loose/bad electrical connection first on the clutch unit where the drive pulley for the aircon compressor is located ?

Are you sure it's STILL regassed and fine?
Might have a stonker of a leak and hitting the LP switch (Low Pressure)

Or the condenser fans might not be running causing it to run for 20 seconds and hit the HP switch.

Just a couple of ideas, it's probably neither ?

As per Richard and Ann I sadly would suggest leakage. I would be surprised if a 2005 vehicle didn't have leakage. Get pressure checked and if low get a proper leak test. If no leakage then start with electrical tests.
