Cab Air Con Fixed.

Make sure you use it on a regular basis, not just on hot summer days.
If vehicle air con is not used for months at a time, it stops working.

Yes, oil vapour is carried around the system with the refrigerant.

Boo! Air con not working again!
Apparently one of the small rubber seals that connect the pipes to the new compressor hadn’t seated properly / got pinched when it was put on. Leak detected by the dye that they put in, remainder of the gas sucked out by their machine, and now back over the pit having the seals replaced. (y) Then a re-gas again.
Just one of those things that can happen. Hey ho.

I’ve never turned my ac off, I leave it running all year. Cools in the heat and removes moisture in the colder weather.

You see those cars driving around with condensation and steamed up windows, when turning the ac on would clear it.

Think Top Gear put the fear of god into people when they said it uses more fuel to run it, well whoopydo as it’s much better all round for those in the vehicle and stops the system failing early.

Couldn't agree more, its astonishing that more people don't use air con as a drier in the winter or wet weather, then wonder why the air con has packed up come the summer.

£772 would make me shiver ;)
I cant remember the last car we had that didn't have air con
Our first van it was not working when we bought it but was at a price and condition that we bought it anyway.
AC turned out to be an easy fix.

Ours didn’t work the first time we tried it 3 weeks ago so a quick gas check top up still no luck it turned out to be the gas pressure switch making the compressor cycle £42 for gas £20 for the switch 🥶 just as well it’s over 30degrees here in Stratford 🙂👍
