According to their website, yes.they also mention doctors on wheels being unable to now so it's probably current

Apparently doctors on wheels are back on the list.

Just had a full work up eye test in preparation for my medical next month.. wanted to make sure I did not get a nasty surprise

Instead I got a rather nice surprise and found my vision to be excellent ( though he did say I should wear reading glasses, to which I replied I do !

Hi folks
Is it still possible to use d4drivers.uk for the assessment, I know doctors on wheels is not accepted.
I used them on Saturday. The doc was going at 100mph. Much worse than doctors on wheels. I don't think DVLA will be accepting them for much longer. My appointment was at 1pm and he had another 11 before 5pm. His English was very bad to understand and he was getting very edgy when I kept asking him to repeat the question. Fortunately my health is ok so I only needed the form completed by a so called doctor.
Yet another bunch of people playing doctors.

How much does the test cost and how long should it last?

Mine cost £50 and unless you develop problems, you only need one every three years. The doctor I saw was excellent and although he rattled through the questions, he sought clarification of some of my responses and also offered some general medical advice.

Mine lasted less than15 minutes.
I had one at the quacks in May ( yearly MOT as Maureen calls it.. Fulll work up inc bloods.. 20 minutes.
I think they use their noddle to a certain extent.. If you are doddery or look frail it might be a different matter

I've used them for my last 4 yearly medicals and found them efficient and great. I can't see any reason why they should take any more than 15 minutes to do a medical. My doctor is around the same time. They included an eye test although I had an independent one.
I would imagine that 15 minutes are pretty standard and it seems like he's having a lunch hour in his attendence time.

I did mine in March D4Drivers, in and out in about 10 minutes. Nice lady doctor in Nottingham. (y)
