Interesting, I copied it directly from the Gov.uk website! Not quite correct, that applies to post 2013 test only.
Before 2013 the max train weight (GCMW) is 8250kg

Agreed, but the gov website is updated to account for the new, post 2013, category.Interesting, I copied it directly from the Gov.uk website!
in no particular order ..golf clubs, 2 small dogs, winter and summer clothes, food , water, ...oh and wife lol...joking aside would I be wise to weigh MH before purchase because of any extra's already fitted ..thanks for your replyThis is where it gets tricky , with payload you want the most you can get , with a layout that suits . The difficult part is balancing what the weight is against the MAM whilst taking into account what items are already fitted that you think you need. What extras on top of that and how many you are and what "personal effect" each one of you needs .

@pappajohn Im not being argumentactive, but you prompted me to check the website again. This oneNot quite correct, that applies to post 2013 test only.

I think that may be two options.Licences issues from 1990 to 1996 might give you 8250kg or 12000kg depending on whether you have code 107.

Thank youdefinitely weigh the MoHo , and note what items can be ticked off your must have list , also note number of hab batteries, any solar panels , levels in fuel tank , gas bottles or tank level. level in fresh tank , or any other liquids as 1 litre is a kg ( approx) . Spare or not ?
This will allow true on road weight , to be calculated and give you a true payload.
....omg never thought about fuel levels..I've a lot to learn and only got a few months...Thank you

wow that's what you call a MoHo..
That makes senseYep... Just had a look and one is with a 107 restriction... Which is for those who never took a C1 test (grandfather rights)
(107 - not more than 8,250 kilograms
And the other is without the 107 restriction for those who physically took a C1 test with the need for a heavier trailer.

Far too many unnecessary category changes with no real reason other than its DVLA.That makes sense
