Just had this from Out and about live DVLA are warning of delays in renewal of c1 for over 70s. They are saying that they will renew license s without the C1 and catch up later.
Not much use of you have a motorhome over 3500kg

Had a report via The Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs that the DVLA are not processing any applications that involve physical documents. No mention when they will restart.

I have just Had an Out and About Live email myself with information as you have posted Lunarman.
Luckily for us my husband sent all necessary forms and a cheque on 27 March by recorded tracked delivery. The cheque was cashed on 4 May. So if we are able to go out and about in the MH soon we will be ok.

Get the forms, get a medical, send the completed form off to DVLA and as I understand it this is now sorted.

Not too many places to go just now but the DVLA know that. The best advice looks like Pandas. Plead ignorance and get it all posted off. Unless they turn you down and return your forms you will have completed your part and cannot be expected to have read roomers from other sources.

There is an official announcement on DVLA's website of the delays and future process.

A copy of that should satisfy UK Police.

However, you could have difficulties with Non-UK Police if stopped, unless their country have similar systems in operation.
