C1 at 70, is this a new record ?

Same for me 18 months or so ago. I had my 70th birthday, the necessary medical, sent for and received licence, and collected 5.4T van within a 7 day period.

Nice one John on keeping the C1 after what you have been through.
Would have been a bit of a squeeze for you in a panel van

Sent it all off last Wednesday.. Came back ( all correct too ! ) today :)

Did the new licence give you a full 3 years from expiry date of the old one John?

My last renewal I thought I'd be good and apply early and lost a couple of months because they dated the new one shortly after my application. I won't get caught like that again!

It's 3 years from date of application/issue.
Mine was.

As Larby said.. I effectively lost 27 days

I wanted the C1 reinstating on mine, and a change of address too. Came back correct within a couple of weeks. Easy.

well aren’t you a lucky buggar, applied for mine in August, DVLA said that I needed to take an exercise ECG test. I passed the exercise test (treadmill) but cardiologist was not happy with my ECG. I now have to go for an angiogram. Meanwhile DVLA have revoked my licence and I have a motorhome on my driveway that I cannot drive. ??
