I pay the extra £30 a year for their wifi, which at £2.50 a month is quite cheap. I only use it for emails and browsing so it will save me £30+ a year.

I've not used it but by all accounts it wasn't worth paying for anyway. If it's now free it'll be even less use.

Dont worry you can have the paid for option which will still be available so its not 'BT WiFi which is free' (and pretty good)

When the campsites have been upgraded, we’re aiming to offer FREE Wi-Fi to your pitch where you can check emails, post to social media and search and browse the web. A paid for upgrade option will then be available again, which will enable you to download and upload large files, stream music and watch videos etc.

I'm not a member but I don't get it they are spending 1.5 million on upgrading the WiFi on there sites. Seems like a total waste of money, does any one actually use WiFi when away from home these days. Very few people don't have a mobile phone with a data plan these days.

Bloomin Cheek, on top of 2023 pitch prices, they still want extra dosh for steaming, having waited this long for a decent wi fi service to replace the crap one that many paid for in the past but were never offered a refund.
Speaking as an ardent FLT, after Phase 2 is complete, I will parking as close as possible to a CMC site to stream for free as much as I can, I wonder if they will roll out burgers & shakes to compete with McDonalds?

I’ve never paid £50 + pn. Most I’ve paid is £36 in London, which isn’t bad. I don’t do high season camping.

You won’t be able to stream, is what they are saying. You will be able to get email brows the web but throttling the band width unless it’s paid for. In todays world the internet is omnipresent and people do not expect to pay for extra bandwidth as such.
