We are away at Ferry Meadows club site, not sure if it only this site or a new club rule

All pitches here now have two posts 😳

New rule you park between them (not literally) 🤔 and you can go in front first or reverse they don’t mind 😳👍😁

Just move them under the cover of darkness 👍
They've got wise to that now as there are a number of sites where there's a permanent marker on where the peg should be placed.

Comes as no surprise to me that these sort of rules are required... However even with them I witnessed, last year caravan trying to park right at edge of a large fully serviced hardstanding pitch so his awning would be on the grass between pitches resulting in him being very close to van next door.
Warden turned up and a VERY heated debate ensued resulting in awning down and van leaving.

In the same vein!
Motorhome turned up with a trailer and car onboard which he duly offloaded.
Awing "attached" to motorhome with trailer on the other side of the motorhome and the car on the grass between pitches.
Couldn't understand why the caravanner on the next pitch, who had an awning attached, was less than enamoured when he returned an hour or two later!

Pitch markers are part of our so called safety. My door is on the offside so I've had many words with our campsite leaders..If we have 2 posts then it will ge twice as bad.. I assume it's so us plebs park between the posts. I'll never understand how having a firebrick gap filled with a tent or xar and any other toys.

Hey, you've got better things tae be doing than posting on here!
Get the last o' that magnetic stuff cut up!:giggle:

Much better (y)
Hopefully stop the whingers - until they pick on something else to whine about
Me apparently.....I park my MH, on the pitch, in the direction that gives me the best view from the lounge.

I've just discovered, via this site, that my neighbours will be offended if, as a result of me wishing to look at the countryside etc., my habitation door faces theirs . The things you learn.

Anyway, apologies to all if I've offended the site etiquette but I'm going to carry on looking for and at the best possible views,. I'm sure we'll still be bestie's despite that :LOL::LOL:

You always could park any way in so long as the corner of the van/caravan was on the marker..

It just meant on a non awning pitch you often had little or no room if you drove in with a RHD Motorhome because of where they put the blue marker. I used to just park a bit off it to give me some room to get out the door if I wanted to be parked that way in and I’ve never had a problem 😊

I'm parked near close enough for my neighbour to make tea and hand it to me without either of us leaving our vans. We'll not quite. When I arrived it was a little soggy so pulled and stopped. Neighbour is fine about so are the owners. Not sure if the neighbour is here over the weekend if it dries out I may move. But if everyone one is happy no problem. I was a little concerned about the site are the rules seemed endless bit people are really nice.site very clean and when they were setting up for the arriving rally. The parking mark was kicking a mark on the grass with a wellie. Beautiful red kites been flying over most of the day so close they are tremendous

Left ferry meadows on tuesday morning and was only 1 peg per pitch we park so our awning does not overlook the awning of the next van . The beefeater was full on sunday night although most tables was empty and the waitress told us to try the windmill a bit further down the road far superior food and 10% of the food if you are club members(CAMC)

We’re on Jim’s site and a Motorhome in the CMC behind use had just settled with his chairs out and warden came and made him move, he had the white post on the wrong corner!

I'm sitting in a thing called a hotel in Lanzarote, wife's idea, bloody awful. Sunshine, comfortable bed, good food and maids. New type of prison I think. Hope you're well.
My mate collected the magnetic today so ready to cut over the weekend. Don't worry I'm not slacking.
