This on their website.......

Following the UK Government announcement which will place the whole of England into a countrywide lockdown, it is likely that the Club will have to temporarily close its network of campsites in England from 6pm on Wednesday 4 November until the Government advises that we are able to reopen them (currently forecast for the beginning of December). The temporary closure also applies to our Certificated Locations and Affiliated Sites.

I think that the “likely have to close” is waiting for the vote in parliament over the lockdown and also assume that like others they are lobbying hard for changes to the lockdown rules.

Yes I think that‘s probably the case but not a lot of good having the vote on the day of possible closure.

I booked Narfook mid December and saw that statement. Shame , the system seemed to work well on campsites. Same for golf clubs.
Thats two avenues of pleasure taken from me.
Life is pretty boring at the moment, no travel, glamping, or golf, still, we live in a nice area, could be worse.

We were due to stay at a CCC site in Lincolnshire this week but got a phone call at the weekend to say they had to close on Wednesday and we could only stay until then. We nearly set off but then got another call yesterday that they had had a Covid outbreak and had to close immediately. A close shave for us but I hope everybody affected at the site is OK.

The lockdown should be over on the 2nd of December. You may be ok.

Just looked at a site nearby. No availability from 5th November to 2nd December in line with the lockdown. I booked a few days from 3rd as that is when it reopens

I’ve changed a booking 3 times now. Lakes in Bowness. One of my fave locations. We’re in Wales so lockdown so had to move the first one, now England now in lockdown for 2nd booking, moved to 3rd Dec. Hopefully everything will be tickety boo by then. Also got a booking over Xmas for York, so hopefully that won’t have to be changed. In fairness the first one has been with CCC and they’ve changed it with no issue. Although each time the price has changed albeit by a pound the first change then 40p for third change. This is due to the time changing from low season to mid rather than admin fees.

We’ve a booking for York at Christmas too......🤞

Hurn Lane C&MC just rang to cancel our booking for next week.......

A silver lining Hey !

Why not if it helps keep the club ticking over, I’m parked up for winter now anyway but with a few vouchers in reserve would be extra keen to start using them when the sites reopen.

The Caravan and Motorhome Club sold vouchers during lockdown- you could buy £120 of vouchers for only £100 thus giving you 20% discount on your future bookings

To be pedantic, £120 worth of fees for £100 is only 16.66% discount. Still not to be sneezed at though.

Exactly it's a members club and a very cash rich club so they can afford to lower the prices with out a voucher scheme .

Trying to find out if the two main clubs are re-opening in Wales next week.

Edit

It appears that C&CC sites are not reopening for the remainder of the season.

Ah yes.... true if you started with £120, but you started with £100 and received £20 extra, so 20% of your original fee paid. :boxing::rofl:🍿🍿🍿
