Is the a way to find a list of New 2019 or 2018 C Class motorhomes with drop down beds ?
As thinking again about going for the Bailey autograph 79-6.

Refine an autotrader search to your needs would be a good start.

Use drop down in the keywords box

I have always wondered what the width of a drop-down bed is in a 'C' Class, i.e. head-to-toe while sleeping.

In our 'A' Class the drop-down is king size, but cab-width must be considerably smaller, or are some built out over the doors to be same width as body?

[We do not get to see many MHs in Poland, thus my questions]

Luckily both me and the wife are 5ft nothing :) so bed length is not an issue :)

Look for one that does not rely on electricity they can be a right pain especially when they won't come down. It really puts you off wanting to go away always thinking will the bed mechanism work. I went in one the other day and first thing I noticed was how low the ceiling was. Standing with bent knees so my head did not touch the ceiling. Also noted that there was no bedding or pillows on the bed which would have made it even lower. We have a nice A Class with a fixed bed and a pull down bed in the cab over the front seats ( No electric required ).

My hubby is 6 foot 4 inches - the number of motorhomes I like that are discounted due to him not been able to stand up straight or sleep lying straight is very annoying.:(

I think there are quite a few that drop down above the lounge seats now Geoff.

Most seem to be mechanical which is what I would prefer, but on the note of some of them being electric, do the electric ones require to be hooked up to mains electric or are they just 12v motors and run from the leisure batteries??

They are I believe 12v motors that run from leisure batteries. A few people just run the engine a few minutes whilst they put the electric beds back in position.

Definitely 12V from leisure batts.

Yip the ones we have looked at were above the front lounge
More by luck than judgement we chose a van with a bed that dropped down over the front cab. One that dropped down over the lounge area wouldn't have suited us at all as Glenn gets up before me and so needs somewhere to sit. Some beds cover all the seating.
