C & CC Thetford. Gone? (1 Viewer)

Anyone know what has happened here? The site has disappeared from their website. Went there a couple of years ago and have noted it as good, well drained site for winter. It’s so muddy here now it limits the choices.
Any recommmendations for a weekend stop within an hour’s drive of Cambridge?

Never been there but I think it was little used and run by volunteers.
Seem to recall seeing that it was closed a few months ago.

I seem to remember that site gave up the CCC franchise, the CMC still have a thetford site I believe.

The CMC have a "Thetford forest" campsite. Nice rural location with sparse facilities due to its location.
Its 8/10 miles North of Thetford.

Right in the middle of the forest, relaxed and great for canoeing, walks and cycling from.

Are you talking about puddledock caravan/campsite? It's still running but not part of the franchise anymore.

I can confirm its called Puddledock Farm now. Even after 15 months or so as a non c&cc site they still don't have their own website up and running but you can book via Pitchup and other sites. The facilities etc are still good, if fact its the same as when it was a c&cc site.

How do I know this? - I am looking out my van window at the site now!
