As we full time in our van we always try to keep the cost of camping / parking down.

We like to stay on C&CC temporary holiday sites but I notice that some of the prices are creeping up.

For example, we have stayed on the Sheringham THS a couple of times but they want £14 a night this year (£17 at Easter).

All you get for your £14 is a space on a school playing field and waste disposal.

Being a skinflint I won’t pay this amount.

Even worse if you travel solo! Club sites with full facilities are usually cheaper for me.

Happily the fdsg group that I spend the weekend with charge me £10 instead of the normal £12 and there are 2 nights of entertainment included. ?

Your money - your choice.
Prices go up - that's inflation.
If Sheringham is where you want/need to be - what are your cheaper & legal alternatives?

We have been to Holt THS and Happisburgh THS (both £7.50 a night next year I think) or if we feel rich there is Sea Palling, lovely spot for £10 a night.

I understand about inflation etc and Sheringham THS will be full anyway it just seems a bit pricey to me.

I think when we stayed at the THS at KLRFC earlier this year, that the DA only made 50 pence from each £11 fee. Not sure if any of the balance went to C&CC or if the rugby club got it all ?
