Nah, the space isn't tall enough for a Smart car

Swap it for a Mini then.

If you had the money to buy one of those new, would you spend it on that as for that money it's holiday home territory or a lot of nice hotels .

Don't think it would stop the argument to be honest. I've got a mate of a mate who's Auntie's brothers sister has got one of those and got stopped in Spain by the Gendarms who were on holiday from France chasing up a lead they had on a gassing at an aire in Belgium where the owners were robbed and everything including 1999 pounds in cash was stolen. Anyhoe they told the owner that those underslung transport systems are illegal. They were fined e150 and taken to a cash machine to get the money out before being allowed to continue. On the way to the cash machine they had two men in a black mercedes pointing at the wheel of the truck. They stopped to check everything was OK and when they got going again realised they had been robbed by the gang in the Merc who had got in and robbed them whilst helping to change the wheel.

anyhow don't take my word for it @Chris and @Wildbill and @jonandshell are experts on this stuff.

I like how the dude is in the car already .. ..

He must have an internal flight of stairs or a lift into the driving seat

Or does he drive the truck from the seat of the car .. ..

Ground clearance does not look much (traffic calming or bridges)
and it looks as if you'd need a uniformly flat area to access the vehicle.

I was just going to say the same thing.
Many sites have 'speed' bumps and no good on a bumpy grass pitch.
But....it probably has air/hydraulic suspension so will raise quite a bit.

if I had the money to buy that I would probably give up the van and use the money to buy somewhere rural and quiet out of the way, like the Hebrides and never leave.
