Love watching the tour de France, and seeing new areas of France from the helicopters. Has anyone found places to go and visit from watching the tour that they never considered before.
My new must visit is COUPOLE, CENTRE D’HISTOIRE ET PLANÉTARIUM

there's a Fighter Jet Collection in Savigny-les-Beaune 21420 France

Saw it a few years ago on TDF still trying to get there

100% must see. Some of the facts and figures on display are truly harrowing but others just mind blowing. Them Germans were industrious blighters when they weren’t committing mass genocide.

Excellent collection, there is also a collection of motorcycles and cars as well as a vineyard at the château. All in walking distance of a really nice site.

La Coupole is definitely worth a visit. We need to go back to see the planetarium bit - didn’t have time on our first trip. You used to be able to overnight in the car park.

We were inside La Coupole when it was announced that the passenger lift had failed.
No problem 'cept there is no fire exit. The structure is so thick that there is no other way out!
Amazing place and we just had to wait until the problem was solved
Not far away is Eperleques which I seem to remember was a V2 assembly building, awesome to see the bent Reinforcing rods due to blast damage from RAF bombs,, oh and the waterfilled bomb craters now ful of goldfish swimming happily.
There is also a campsite nearby
