Hello all, need to change up to get some euro's which place is the best to get a better rate?
it will be £1500 worth cheers for any advice.

If its for holiday wait till you cross and use bank hole in the walls and collect "in local currency" not in gpb exchanged as you get a better rate.

We got a good deal at Tesco last month, they even had a free bonus on. Not sure if it’s still going but it was sweet

Barclaycard platinum travel credit card also has no charges (even for foreign currency cash withdrawals) and gives the interbank rate, much better than the tourist rates. Just make sure you always go for the EUR
option for purchases etc. Instant viewing on the app.

We use Hifx, or XE as they are now, for both personal and business transfers and have found them consistently better than Currencies Direct who we used for the last 10 years. https://www.hifx.co.uk/

If you are after a high street bureau de change I have always found John Lewis the best rate for euros.

Debenhams do a decent rate and if you have their c.card you get a better deal.If you are taking that amount I would consider fitting a safe in van.

Metro bank don’t charge for cash withdrawals not sure but I think nationwide don’t either

We usually google exchenge rates and find the best. It usually is an online ordering service where you collect the cash at a local chemists! Some of the beureau de changes at the airport are fairly good but ONLY if you order in advance

Agree with a lot on here, Revolut is excellent rates and (mostly) no fees.

Extremely easy to use to move money around to just about any currency and card can be topped up instantly with the App.

Halifax Clarity credit card is safe and convenient. Use ATMs. Revolut is slightly cheaper, up to a few 000 per month.

Out of interest why are you buying Euros.

I always use my Halifax clarity card when abroad.
No fees and you get the exchange rate on the day.
We always take some cash with us.. paying be card is often not an option, and an awful lot of gas stations will not accept Revolut card.. mind you for diesel we normally use the post office credit card

What’s cash.....?

Is it when we used to have horse and carts.....?
